You are on the page of Andromeda! Here you will learn about the myth of her.
Cepheus and Cassiopeia were the king and queen of the Phoenician kingdom of Ethiopia. Andromeda was the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia Andromeda's mother, Cassiopeia, bragged about how Andromeda was more beautiful than the Nereids and the nymph daughters. The Nerieds and the nympth daughters complained to Poseidon. Him and
Zeus were angry, so they summoned the sea monster, Cetus, to attack the coast of Ethiopia. Zeus announced that that there will be no pause until the king sacrificed his daughter to Cetus. The king did and Andromeda was chained to a rock on the coast of an island, Jeffa. Perseus came back from fighting Gorgon Medusa and went to the king and said "If i save your daughter, i get to marry her." and the king agrees. Perseus went to the island of Jeffa and fought Cetus in a deadly battle and he set Andromeda free. There was a wedding, but before that a person named Phineus was supposed to marry Andromeda and hes not. Phineus brought a bunch of troops and said that he should marry Andromeda, but the king said "I made an agreement with Perseus marrying her". Perseus was angry so he brought out the Medusa head from his fight and said "All my friends, look away," and they did. All of Phineus's troops froze, they were stone. Phineus started to plead and beg for Perseus not to show the Medusa head to him but Perseus already did. Phineus and all his troops were now stone. Andromeda and Perseus were happily married and had seven sons and one daughter. The sons names were Perseides, Perses, Alcaeus, Heleus, Mestor, Sthenelus, and Electryon, and the daughters name was Gorgophone. They lived a happy life.
